InterSpec President Speaks at Industry BIM Conference
Industry Leading Experts Discuss BIM at LaiserinLive Event
at Georgia Tech's Global Learning and Conference Center
April 27, 2005, Portland, ME - InterSpec, Inc. ("InterSpec")
President, Michael Brennan, was asked to discuss the opportunities,
challenges, processes and deployment issues vendors and customers
encounter with Building Information Modeling. The Georgia Tech College
of Architecture Ph.D. program, directed by Charles Eastman, and the
LaiserinLetter, edited by Jerry Laiserin, jointly presented a conference
on this rapidly expanding approach to operating as well as designing,
documenting and delivering building projects. This conference brought
together leading industry experts, vendors and users to deliver extensive
background on the relevant technologies, demonstrations and assessment
of existing products, review of integrating and supportive technologies,
and methods of assessment and planning for using building information
modeling in a project or office.
"Our e-SPECS specification management system is a great example of
BIM in practice," said Michael Brennan, InterSpec's President. "e-SPECS
integrates information from the building models and a variety of other
sources to automate and improve the quality of a downstream process,
construction specifications. It is great to meet and share information
with other professionals that are advancing the development and use
of technologies that are significantly improving the quality of the
design and construction process."
