PORTLAND, Maine - August 2001 -- InterSpec, LLC, the premier
provider of online construction specification services to architects
and designers nationwide, announced today that it has secured
its next round of financing from both private investors and
the Small Enterprise Growth Fund (SEGF), a State of Maine sponsored
venture capital fund. In addition, Mark Tilly, co-founder of
the Portland-based company I-many, has been named to the company's
board of directors.
"We are pleased that our investors have shown their support
in our initiatives with this additional funding," said
Michael Brennan, president of InterSpec. "To date, the
market acceptance of our unique services and internet delivery
mechanisms has been encouraging, and this investment will help
us refine our technology and hire additional spec writers to
continue our growth plans," continued Mr. Brennan.
This next round of financing will help the company continue
the development of its e-SPECS Automated Specification Management
System, as well as other product development initiatives.
Adding his talents to the board of directors is Mark Tilly.
Mr. Tilly is the co-founder of I-many, the leader in contract
management software solutions, primarily to the health care
