e-SPECS Linx is for users not quite ready for the CAD/BIM integration,
but needing to create spec manuals faster and easier than in Microsoft
Word. e-SPECS Linx utilizes all of the functionality of e-SPECS
for Revit, simply without the BIM integration. Users may upgrade
their existing spec tools to e-SPECS Linx at an easy to justify license
cost and begin writing spec manuals immediately. To include more CAD/BIM
integration and coordination, e-SPECS Linx licenses may be upgraded
to e-SPECS for Revit or AutoCAD.
The e-SPECS Checklist and Editor
Use intelligent Checklist filtering of the many pages within your
masters to the pertinent selected information for your project. Checklist
tags include intelligent pre-requisites and mappings to associated
paragraphs. Unselected items are struck out using track changes enabling
easy insertion if you change your mind. Insert sections from any master
into your project such as the MasterSpec Full Length or Short Form,
Building Product Manufacturer, VA or your custom master libary. Save
or print the blank checklist or pre-selected checklist for review
with colleagues. You are also creating your project outline reports
via the checklist selections so there isn't a need to throw away your
outline reports when you start creating your full length spec manual.

The e-SPECS Checklist filters master guide
sections quickly and easily
without the need to spend hours pre-filtering information your firm
does not use.
The e-SPECS Editor (included in e-SPECS Linx, e-SPECS for Revit and
e-SPECS for AutoCAD) includes specific editing features not found
in Word such as "double-click" to include/exclude paragraphs and bracket
options, ability to remove an article and all sub-paragraphs with
a single key stroke, automatic CSI formatting, bracket selection tools,
side by side markup reviews, and more. General purpose editing functionality
such as track changes, copy/paste, multiple undos, project notes,
highlighting, spell checker are all included. e-SPECS has been managing
data using the industry standard Microsoft SQL Server since 2004 and
includes management of style guides, headers, footers, table of contents
for all sections in your project with the ability to change these
for the entire project within a few seconds.

The e-SPECS Editor enables the user to quickly
make selections, copy/paste additional language or images, track the
changes made and more. You get the ease of word processing with powerful
spec editing functionality.
PRODUCT RESEARCH
Developing the specifications for the products and materials
that are incorporated into your building designs is only part of the
complete specifications package. You also have to identify available
products that meet those specifications. e-SPECS automates the selection
of available products that meet your specifications by linking to
supplier information on the Internet or in the MasterSpec Supporting
Documents directly from your specification. With the click of the
mouse, you get a list of manufacturers supplying products applicable
to the section you are editing and a wealth of spec writing information
and help. You'll save hours researching products to include in your
specifications and when you find the appropriate suppliers, information
from their web sites can be cut and pasted into your specifications
with a few simple mouse clicks.

e-SPECS' built-in browser makes researching
commercial product information simple and up-to-date.
PROJECT COLLABORATION
e-SPECS connects all project team members together enabling collaboration
on your specification documents from any place in the world. Team
members can access the project using e-SPECS to edit the specifications
or using the e-SPECS Desktop to red-line the specs, add and respond
to project notes, print sections or the manual and more. You'll save
time and money and ensure that all team comments and considerations
are included in the final manual.
